Fall Decorating & Free Printable Banner
I am super excited to share with you my fall display and free printable fall banner this morning! I wanted to throw in a nontraditional twist my fall decorating by adding the color turquoise.
Since orange and turquoise are opposite of each other on the color wheel, they naturally go well together.
My mom and step-dad run a glass blowing shop in historic Conway, SC. Every Christmas, I look forward to getting one of their beautiful creations! The blown glass pumpkin with the turquoise stem was the starting point for the color scheme.
Now on to the free stuff! You can print the letters out as either 5” x 7″ or 3″ x 5“. The banner below was printed out as the 3″ x 5″ size. I used Picasa and chose the “shrink to fit” option before I printed. The larger size would be the perfect size for a fireplace mantle!
*I’d like to give a special thanks to The Graphics Fairy for sharing the French Acorn Wreath that I used to make my banner. I’d also like to thank Blooming Homestead for sharing her free printable that I used on my galvanized flower bucket. I got the idea for the turquoise painted pumpkins for the mini topiary from Northern Cottage.*
I’ll follow-up on a post on how I made the printed burlap image on the galvanized flower bin.
Thank you so much for sharing your Thanksgiving printable banner! I used it as the creative activity for our Mops (Mothers of Preschoolers) group yesterday. We used your letters along with some burlap and fabric strips to make some fabulous banners. I wish you could have been there to see all the thrilled moms! Thanks again!
Nice banner. Can’t wait to give it a try. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the banner. I went looking for something exactly like this, and yours was perfect and easy to use.
I came over from At the Picket Fence, and I’m so glad I did. Love the banner, and I have downloaded it. Your Fall decor looks so pretty. Thank you for the beautiful banner. laurie

Beautiful, Tricia! I use blue in my fall decorating too. Thanks for sharing your sweet Thanksgiving banner printable! I’m including a link back in today’s highlights! 🙂
What a delight to find your beautiful blog! I loved your color wheel and the reminder of the colors that compliment one another. I added orange to my hutch filled with blueware this year and it worked…Now, I know why.
I am thrilled to be able to stop by and I look forward to many more visits.
Blessings and thanks,

Thanks so much for the freebie and also for sharing at my party!!! We also spent a day visiting Beaufort…I will do a post about it later this week.
I’ll be sure to check it out! I hope you get to show us some more neat antique stores. Our family is going to Hilton Head next summer and we’ll be taking a day trip to Beaufort. Can’t wait to see my old stomping grounds!
Hey Jen!!! I just saw the feature! Yay!
Great colour combo! It “freshens” up the traditonal colours of the fall. Thanks for sharing the printable. I’ve pinned it for next year (Canadian Thanksgiving is already over!)
