Hi Tricia…I absolutely adore your home. I do a weekly home tour series and would love to feature yours sometime. If you are interested just let me know. firstname.lastname@example.org. I would not be until January 18th.
That would be wonderful! I’ll send you an email!
I have one question: Can I move in!?
I bet we could fit one more person in somehow! 🙂
I am a new follower! (and a fellow southerner) And, your home is gorgeous!!
Hello..I was Googling looking for a chicken stew recipe and found your blog. Love the house… you are a very talented young woman. I too live in the upstate and am a transplanted southerner. I love where I live! I look forward to visiting often.
hello coming to you from australia, found you via pinterest.. love your style and I only have boys also so love your boys rooms! happy new year.
LOVE The plank wall! Now looking for somewhere to do in my empty nest!
Awesome Home! I love your choices, we have very similar styles. I love your repurposing projects throughout. I’m in the process of upgrading to a bigger home and I can’t wait to decorate the new house. My husband and the 5 kids, not so much….they just want to go swim in the pool. lol
Beautiful tour again, thanks!

tricia Love your site. I would love to try so many of your ideas. I sure I don’t have the energy you do all that work and kiddos too. You rock girl!
Your home is amazing. Your living/dining area and that wall of windows with the view out back is unbelievable. One look at that and I’m sold! Love your sons’ rooms!! Especially the boards in your teenage sons room! I actually have that pinned from a previous visit here!
I think your starter home is a keeper!
Thank you, Dawn! My husband knows better than to mention moving anymore because he knows I’ll just give him the evil eye. 🙂
I have to say that your home looks so comfortable and inviting. You’ve done a beautiful job.
Where did you find your extra long shower curtain? JM
This is the same curtain that I bought: http://amzn.to/XGQVs7 . I had to hem it by 2 inches, but the pleats make it really easy to look neat since I’m not the greatest seamstress. I’ll warn you, it took forever for the wrinkles to fall out. I was afraid to iron it.
Just found your blog through iheartorganizing & I love it!
Hi! I’m a North Carolina girl obsessed with home related diy and renovations. Your blog is great and your house is gorgeous! I’ve done tons of renovations on mine, but am just starting to share them on my blog. I’ll definitely check back for more inspiration!
You sound like me! I’m obsessed with DIY and home decor. Glad you stopped by!
Tricia, your home is so pretty! Oh, that front door! It is so fun and welcoming. I really love your kitchen drop station too. I’d love to feature this on my paint color blog. You woudn’t have to do a thing, just let me know if you’re interested!
Wow, your home is absolutely gorgeous! I definitely need to subscribe… count me as your newest follower:) Thanks for sharing it! Krista
Sweet! I’m glad you found my blog and even more excited that you subscribed!
I am so curious as to how long your curtain rod is in the living room. I am in need of a very long curtain rod and would love you to email me where you found this rod. Thank you!
I just emailed the info on the curtain rods to you. If you didn’t get it, just let me know. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Trish, Your home is amazing. I had no idea a basic ranch could have so much charm and warmth. I have found more than a few inspirations. I love what you have done to the place. You have very good taste.
Hi Tricia, I found your blog through Pinterest and I am in love with your home. You have such great taste. I absolutely love every room. You have given much inspiration and I hope to share it with you soon!
Hi Tricia, I would love to know where you bought your curtains and rods for your sunroom! We have a wall of windows in our new home and I’d love the same look! Thanks!
Hi Sarah! I just sent you an email with all the details. I’ll write a post soon so you can pin it to a Pinterest board. That way, you can go back to the post later. Thanks for asking and I hope the email helps!
Hi-I just found your blog and love your style and colors. Thank you for sharing your paint colors…that is so helpful. I too am a southerner born and bred. We are almost neighbors…I live in central NC just east of Charlotte. We are in the process of restoring, redecorating, repainting, re-everythinging the 1910 farmhouse that I grew up in. It is in good shape for the age. It is a work in progress as the money become available. I will keep checking back to see what new inspiration I can get from you.
Wow! I love your style and what you’ve done with your home! I really admire that you work full-time, take care of a family, and still do so much diy! I found your site through addicted2decorating.com and loved your batten and board project….will be visiting again!
Love you house! Have a question about the hallway – can you tell me about the ceiling light fixture? I am looking for a lantern-like fixture for an eight foot ceiling. Your light fixture looks perfect.
Thanks, Chris! It is the small Ballard Designs Carriage House Chandlier. I waited till they had a 20% off sale but it is still a great price. It comes with 2 different ways to mount it, flush mount or with the chain. Let me know if the link doesn’t work since I’m on my phone. http://m.ballarddesigns.com/products/bundle/167657?path=~webapp~wcs~stores~servlet~carriage-house-chandeliers~
Hi new friend! Your home is a magazine! I love it! You have done an awesome job in creating your home! I still wait on my dream home.. for now I just dream 🙂
Hi, Symanthia! I’m blushing! It’s funny, but I was showing pictures of one of our rooms to my husband one day and he asked if that was our house. I promise, it’s nothing like a magazine in real life. There’s usually a path of toys and unfinished projects on the floor. 🙂 Thank you for coming by! So glad to meet you today!
Tricia – beautiful blog and terrific pictures. The sunroom has such warmth and clearly offers casual, understated elegance to your home. Thanks for the inspiring story and pics.
Your home looks wonderful! Job well done!
Neat blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A theme like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog jump out. Please let me know where you got your theme. Thanks a lot
As my great-uncle on my mother’s side was a painter from the South I search him in google and stumbled on your page. You have a very nice home Tricia. Love it!
So glad you found my blog and enjoyed the home tour! Thank you!
Tricia – what a wonderful job in creating beautiful rooms via paint and decor. Love the pictures – stunning!
Thank you so much! Coming from a painting contractor, I’m flattered!
You have a cool blog! I really like the design and colors. Awesome decorations and ideas you have on your blog.
What a cool blog! I am so surprise by your post. You have awesome ideas and I really like it and want to apply this to my new house. Thanks for sharing.
I like the simplicity of your house. It saves a lot of space. I want something like this for my new house, because it’s very relaxing without any mess.
I love that you have taken a normal average house and made it extraordinary. This is exactly what I have been looking for. You show how to work with what you’ve got; it’s realistic and attainable. I would love to see more details of your kitchen and master bath before your’re done with them. I can’t afford to update my kitchen and bath, so I’d like to see what someone with talent does with a kitchen and bath while in transition or while waiting. I have literally zero style or decorating skills, so I need help. Thanks so much for sharing. Your creativity is inspiring!
Just curious 🙂 Where does your son store all his clothes if his closet was turned into an “office”? I bet my son would love to do that but I dont know where I would put all his stuff without looking too clutered. thanks!
Hi Mayra, If you click on the link you can see how I organized his closet and store his clothes. Thanks!
Could you please share with me where you got the curtains in your sunroom? I also have Behr Gobi Desert paint, and am having difficulty finding a color that I like. Thanks so much!
Hello, Tricia…I love your home and your decorating ideas. Are you able to share where you purchased your living room curtains? I have been looking for the perfect ones and absolutely love yours. Thank you for sharing your ideas…
I love your blog. Your home is great. You have wonderful style. I love your family room. A wall of windows are you kidding me? Looks like you’ve got a nice view as well. Keep on stylin’!
what color is your kitchen table with the white chairs? your house is darling, I love alot of your ideas.
Thank you so much,Karan! The kitchen table is painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Provence. Instead of using the wax, I sealed it with 3 coats of polyurethane.
I have a paint color question. I am thinking of using BM Gray Cashmere in my living and dining room (adjoining) and I am shooting for look of a warmer grey with a hint of blue to it. In your master, I see the look I am aiming for. I have questioned this paint color since some photos online show almost a turquoise color – a very blue/green look) and I don’t want that for a LR/DR. What do you observe about this color in your home ?
