On a personal note {9.1.12}

Every now and then, I’ll be adding little snippets of my life that are totally unrelated to decorating. Some may choose to skip over these posts and I’m o.k. with that. But from my own personal experience following many, many blogs over the years, I actually like to know that the person behind the keyboard is a real person. Someone who doesn’t have impeccable grammar, a spotless house and children that are always perfect little angels. I’d have a hard time relating to that person because Lord knows, I’m far from perfect. Take for instance, my laundry room reveal. The laundry room looked all tidy and organized. But, if I had a 360 degree photo into the kitchen, you would have been appalled. Not pretty. I feel very fortunate to have a husband that cooks dinner, helps around the house and that doesn’t mind coming home to a wife still in her pajamas and paint in her hair. Who cares if you get paint on your PJs, right?

So, on a personal note, I would like to say thanks to all of you, from the bottom of my heart, that are following my blog. When I started blogging three weeks ago, I thought my only follower would be my mom. I love you Mom, my biggest fan! The first time I saw that my little ol’ nothing-but-a-mere-blip-in-the-blogosphere-blog
was featured on The Handmade home, I seriously felt chill bumps! I admit, I got teary-eyed. This must be what it feels like when a musician hears their song on the radio for the first time. Moments like that motivate me to keep bringing you the good stuff! My grammar may be lacking and I still have a lot of technical bloggy terms to learn, but I am passionate about what I do! This is what I do for fun. I told you I was a nerd.
Totally unrelated, our youngest son, Mason had his first little league football game today. It was an unorganized mess at first. But, how organized can a group of five-year-old boys be? Quite comical, I tell you. But, I was so proud of our “Little Masonator” for being such a tough little guy no matter how many times he got plummeted by the biggest boy on the other team.

Show me your game face, buddy!

So thanks for hanging around and listening to me talk about uninspiring personal stuff! I’ve got to go put my pajamas back on and get to painting.
