Adding a vintage-industrial style to our teenage son’s bedroom

|
In less than a year from now, our teenage son, Taylor, will be leaving for college. I can still remember his first day of kindergarten like it was yesterday. It was not pretty, trust me. I’m predicting that the tears will be rolling just as badly a year from now as they did back then. This time, my tears and not his, of course.
Taylor has been spending some of his summer vacation working with my parents so he can save some money.
Since he’s been gone,
I’ve decided to surprise him by reorganizing and redesigning his bedroom. Don’t worry…I did warn him that I was going to be going through his closet so he could hide throw way anything that teenage boys need to keep from their mother’s eyes. Ugh, I don’t want to think about it!
Anyways, here’s a little mood board I designed to show you how I plan to add a little nostalgic charm to his bedroom while keeping it functional.

Vintage industrial teen boy's bedroom moodboard

1. Galvanized Pendant Light
2. Morning Stripe Quilt
3. Vintage Gooseneck Work Lamp
4. Black and white picture gallery from The Lettered Cottage
5. Whitewashed Pallet Wall from Eastcoastcreativeblog
6. Cage Pendant Light for the Office-in-a-closet

I’m almost done tweaking the last little details, so I hope you come back to see how it turned out!
